Happy Valentine’s Day!
I know not everyone likes Valentine’s Day but I, for one, am a fan of a holiday that celebrates love. And chocolate. Even though chocolate isn’t the point but any holiday is better with chocolate.
Anyway. While this manicure is red and pink I still think the fact that the base is a jelly sandwich gives this manicure a unique twist.
I started with deborah lippmann A Fine Romance, then topped that with SinfulColors Decadent. Then, of course, the create the jelly sandwich I topped Decadent with one more coat of A Fine Romance.
To make this manicure Valentine’s Day themed I added a heart to my pointer finger nail with SinfulColors GoGo Girl. I find the easiest way to do a heart is to add 2 dots with a dotting tool then use a small brush to make the heart.
There are swatches of this manicure under the jump but I also included another Valentine’s Day themed manicure I did earlier. Just because why not.
Hope everyone has a fantastic Valentine’s Day (even if it’s just binge watching Friends on Netflix……I may or may not already be on season 8…..).

It’s that time again for my absolute favorite post of the year. I love looking back at all the fantastic polishes released during the year. This year’s list is interesting. Last year not a single OPI polish made my top 10 list; this year OPI has 2 polishes on the list. Goes to show a […] Continue reading →
While today may be the first day of 2015 lets take a minute to look back at 2014 and all the awesome polishes and things that happened over the past year. 2014 marks the first year my nails appeared in a magazine. My nails graced the pages of both All You and First for Women […] Continue reading →
It’s the last day of 2014! I can’t believe it. But that means one of my favorite holidays is here; New Year’s Eve and New Year’s day. This year I’m going to a Beatles New Year’s Eve event. I’m quite looking forward to it. But first, lets talk about my NYE manicure. Last year I […] Continue reading →
Merry Christmas! I hope everyone who celebrates is having a lovely day with food, family and of course, presents. I wanted to quickly share my Christmas day manicure. I kept it simple this year turning to the ever trusty China Glaze Emerald Sparkle. That polish always seems to come out this time of year! Previously, […] Continue reading →
Oh my goodness y’all, it’s the first day of winter. This is bad news because that means it’s going to start getting cold. And there might even be snow (I do NOT like snow). But the winter solstice is always good news because today is the shortest day of the year and I, for one, […] Continue reading →
It’s hard for me to believe the 2013 Iron Bowl was a year ago. I was in Jordan-Hare Stadium when Chris Davis ran it back 109 yards and the ground literally moved. But what I really remember about that play is my brother looking at me when Chris was at about the Bama 40 yard line and […] Continue reading →
I find nail polish trends to be fascinating. I did a post on 1920’s nails when The Great Gatsby film came out and enjoyed reading about what was considered in at the time and why. My foray into 1960’s nails didn’t come due to a film but because of Halloween. This year I went as […] Continue reading →
Every Veteran’s Day my brother and I take my grandfather, a WWII vet, out to lunch. He likes to take advantage of the free lunch for veterans many places offer. This year he picked Chili’s. Y’all, I hadn’t been to Chili’s in years and I must say I was quite impressed with my meal. We […] Continue reading →
Last week I spotted my favorite apples at the farmers market. Over the weekend I got my apple baker out. That can only mean one thing; fall has arrived! The fall nail polish collections this year are gorgeous and I’m looking forward to rocking some darker polishes now that the weather is finally getting cooler. […] Continue reading →
