NYC New York Color Times Square Tangerine

NYC New York Color Times Square Tangerine The Daily VarnishGreetings, old friend.

I’ve had this polish for ages. I picked it up in 2010 during Auburn’s national title run. It was my first successful orange polish purchase. Meaning, it didn’t look horrible on me and I could actually wear it!

For Halloween 2015 NYC New York Color is repromoting Times Square Tangerine. So, it’s the perfect time to revisit this old favorite.

Times Square Tangerine is an orange creme with pretty obvious red undertones. It reminds me a bit of one of my current favorite polishes; essie Color Binge just more subdued.

The formula is great. I used just two coats in my swatches and it dries to a super shiny finish.

NYC polishes from the Long Wear line retail for a cool $.99. Make sure to check out the swatches under the jump!

  2. I have a bottle of this that I bet is 10 years old – I think I remember buying it at Wal-Mart when we were visiting the in-laws one October. LIke you, it was one of my first orange polish purchases – it’s a decent choice for us cool-colors people because it leans so red. I’m guessing they have changed the formula over the years – there’s something vaguely old-fashioned looking about the finish on the one I have.

What do you think?
