PISTOL polish True Grit, I’ve Got It

PISTOL polish True Grit, I've Got It The Daily VarnishFall is officially here but I’m about to share a polish with you that’s supposed to look like sand. I know, doesn’t make sense. But the boy and I are vacationing in Myrtle Beach next month and I’m already dreaming of fall weather with a side of sand and ocean air. Ah.

Anyhow. This is actually a really interesting and unique polish.

If you don’t know about PISTOL polish they are a local Charlotte company that started as a subscription service (this polish is from the June 2014 duo!) but now does direct sales. They make fantastic polishes that are vegan, 5 free and made in the USA.

PISTOL polish’s descriptions of their polishes are fantastic.

Sand in your toes? Why not sand ON your toes?! As you make your first trek of the season to the beach, bring a little sand of your own with our latest polish – a textured tan hue that is a dead ringer for the oceanfront. Look hot? It’s a shore thing.

True Grit, I’ve Got It is a tan textured polish with a slight metallic finish. I actually really like this polish. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look great on me.

The formula is, as expected, fantastic. I used two coats in my swatches.

You can pick up True Grit, I’ve Got It from PISTOL polish’s website. Or, if you are in Charlotte, The Boulevard at South End carries PISTOL polish.

Make sure to check out the swatches under the jump!

  1. It doesn’t look bad as your manicure. But I know what you mean…I have the same issue with tan/sand/beige. I bet it would look nice as a pedicure or you might try frankening it up a bit with a touch of pink? I wonder how one of those OPI Sheer polishes might work over it? Anyhow, I enjoy seeing your blog in my inbox, keep up the great work and enjoy your Fall vacation in Myrtle Beach.
