China Glaze – Lug Your Designer Baggage

China Glaze - Designer Baggage LabelMy Summer is over and I’m back in action in the classroom today. Sad. But with Labor Day behind us, it’s the unofficial start of Fall! The high today is 90, so I’m not going to be breaking out sweater dresses and boots JUST yet, but my manis will start shifting to Fall.

I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the school year with one my favorite polishes from last Fall. Alli sent me this because it was sooooo me, but last Fall I was knee deep in amazing polishes and I didn’t get the chance to review it. My loss. This polish is amazing.

For Fall 2014, China Glaze released a travel themed collection: All Aboard. One of the shining stars was Lug Your Designer Baggage. It’s a rich chocolate brown filled with gold flakes. The colors and polish name are an obvious nod to Louis Vuitton. I’m not really a fan, at least of the signature print because I don’t feel the need to broadcast my labels, but it’s amazing in nail polish form. The overall effect is subtle and chic and perfect for Fall.

Application was quick and easy – I used three coats to avoid any thin spots, but if I wasn’t taking pictures two coats would have been adequate. Removal was easy, but do expect to put just a little more effort in because of the flakes.

I get really excited about unique polishes and I have nothing even remotely similar to LYDB. It’s a treasure. I also have another All Abroad polish: Loco-Motive. I still haven’t tried that yet, but when I do I’ll make sure to share! ICYMI: Alli also reviewed Choo-Choo Choose You from this collection.

Even though you may have difficulty trying to find this in stores, it’s pretty easy to get. The best deal I could find today: Amazon for $5.65 + free shipping!

Swatches below!

So much love,

  1. Love the shade of brown, but those gold bits look strangely textured or something, maybe it’s just the camera angle. I live in Las Vegas where we are still having triple digit temps, so my manis will not be “shifting to fall” anytime soon, LOL, but it’s nice to see what’s out there for the new season.

    1. We had mid 90’s for most of the week so I totally get it 🙂

Definitely no texture though – it’s much more of a jelly sandwich situation. I love it.

What do you think?
