Sally Hansen Miracle Gel – Terra-Coppa

SH Miracle Gel - Terra-CoppaHey, hey! I’m really excited to show off another polish from Sally Hansen’s Tribal Vibes collection! You all know how much I love metallics, but I love them the most of all in the Fall. When leaves are dying and falling off trees there’s just something special about that extra sparkle & shine that is so….perfect.

Monday I showed off the beautiful Buffalo Nickel. Today I have another polish from Sally Hansen’s Tribal Vibe collection: Terra-Coppa. Sally Hansen describes Terra-Coppa beautifully: melds the gleam of copper with the earthy appeal of pottery. I definitely agree with the gleam of copper, but there’s very little about this polish that screams earthy or pottery.

I was just as pleased with this polish as I was with Buffalo Nickel. The application is so smooth and easy.  I’m really surprised at how quickly the polish itself dries – all on it’s own, before the top coat. I decided to do the bed test. I went to sleep without putting any top coat on my thumb – and it looks just as perfect as the rest of my nails PLUS no bed nails. VICTORY.

Now, I owe you a bit of a caveat before you take peak at my swatches. I was SUPER tired when I was putting on this polish, half asleep and ready for bed. I used two coats of Terra-Coppa then the top coat and headed off to bed shortly after. I scrambled to take pictures around lunch time yesterday and noticed the tips looked a little worn. But it’s not so much that they were worn, it’s that I didn’t focus on making sure the nail polish was spread evenly across the nail. You can see what I mean below, I did the two coat swatches with the top coat bottle. Once I got home from work I added another coat and took new pictures with the bottle of Terra-Coppa.

So – lesson learned. Pay more attention. I do think this could be a two coater, but if the struggle is real, just throw on a third coat.

The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polishes retail for around $9.99, but sales aren’t uncommon. You can pick up Terra-Coppa at for 7.99 and it’s also available at Ulta for $9.99.

Swatches with two coats, three coats, and my thumb sans Miracle Gel Top Coat below!

Which do you like better? Terra-Coppa or Buffalo Nickel? Or maybe you have your eye on another polish from Tribal Vibe…

I have been using the miracle gel top coat over regular OPI polish. I had a sensational light that I used once, and used it to cure the miracle gel topcoat-OMG!!! It worked so well-try it sometime. I cured for 30 seconds-totally dry!!!!

I never even thought to use this with a light. I’ll have to give that a try!

I know using a light seems to defeat purpose, but for me, it increased wear with an easy removal!!

I’m intrigued! I’ll be trying this!

How does this compare to Orly Rage?

    • Alli September 4, 2015 at 10:17 am

Orly Rage is one of my all time favorites! Terra-Coppa looks more bronze to me but they are similar. You can check out my Orly Rage swatches here.

Brain twins! Rage was the first polish that came to my mind too! The multi colored metallic look – Rage is more in the rose gold realm and Terra-Coppa has a copper vibe.

So, do you need a light with it?

    • Alli September 4, 2015 at 10:14 am

No….it’s meant to be used without a light.

What do you think?
