OPI Gelato On My Mind The Daily VarnishA couple of weekends ago the boy and I were at our favorite bar on a Saturday night. It was karaoke night and this old man gets up and starts singing ‘Georgia On My Mind.’ About half way through the song the man pulls out his trumpet and starts playing it. He was amazing!

Anyhow. Gelato On My Mind is clearly a play on Georgia On My Mind hence the long winded karaoke story. But seriously y’all, it was amazing!

Gelato On My Mind is from the OPI fall 2015 Venice collection and is a gorgeous pale mint blue creme. Like Back in a Prosecco, Gelato On My Mind has a fantastic formula that only requires 2 coats.

When I laid eyes on Gelato On My Mind I immediately thought of essie Blossom Dandy from the essie spring 2015 Flowerista collection. The two are very similar.¬†Blossom Dandy is a smidge brighter than Gelato On My Mind but if you picked up Blossom Dandy I’d pass on Gelato On My Mind.

There are swatches under the jump as well as a comparison between Gelaton On My Mind and Blossom Dandy (and I threw Sally Hansen Mintage in there for good measure).

The OPI Venice collection is available at Ulta. You can also find Gelato On My Mind on Amazon.

I’ve been eyeing this polish since I started seeing the promos months ago. Its on my must buy list. I’m not sure of the brilliance of stores getting the display and only one polish of each color. So I’ve been striking out. I guess I will have to head online. But at least with your review I feel confident I’ll love it!

Luv it. I have so many light blues and pale blue-greens , but I think this one may be lighter than anything in my stash. Looks so fresh for summer. The finish looks almost jellyfish… is it a crelly?

What do you think?
