Barielle - Pink Parasol

Barielle – Pink Parasol

Barielle - Pink Parasol (Gentle Breeze 2015)Without fail, by the time 4th of July actually arrives I am completely red, white, & blue-d out. It’s going to take me at least a week to recover. Life is so hard, right? #Summerstruggles.

Anyway, Saturday evening I was hanging out with some pretty fabulous people and feasting on the world’s most delicious baked beans, and (obviously) I started thinking about my Monday mani. Don’t worry, I can’t think of any circumstance that would lead to a baked bean inspired mani but the unlikely source of my nail inspiration was right in front of me: my W&L koozie! Pink – of course.

Alli sent me this polish a month or so ago and it’s a shade of pink you need to be in the mood for. Barielle describes Pink Parasol as “strawberry ice.” I’d go with a Barbie-ish medium pink. Honestly though, strawberry ice sounds a lot cooler. The color isn’t unique, but it made me feel super girly and it was fun to wear. I had to use three coats to achieve an even &  opaque mani.

If you missed out on this collection, it’s still available on the Barielle website for $25. Each individual polish retails for $8. Take a peak at more reviews of the Gentle Breeze polishes: Under the Sea, Gray Sky, Heaven Sent.

With my warm coloring, I’d have a hard time pulling off such a cool toned pink… it seems to have a tinge of lavender in it… it is a very girly statement!

I agree. It was a little too cool for me – I kept thinking how nice it’d look on Alli 🙂
