OPI – On Pinks and Needles

OPI - On Pinks and Needles (bottle)Y’all! It’s finally here! Today is the first day of teacher summer! I’m so excited!

OPI Brights for 2015 has been in stores for a while now, and of course I had to get the bright pink glitter: On Pinks & Needles. It’s bright pink multi sized hex glitter set in a clear base. The coverage is great – On Pinks & Needles dispersed fairly evenly without any need for tooth picks or dabbing . I used one coat – for me, two would be too busy. When I was taking pictures, however, I did notice that some of the glitter has lost it’s color, which is a shame – I don’t think I’ll like this polish nearly as much if the base becomes tinted….

OPI polishes retail for $9.50. The OPI Brights Polishes are currently at Ulta!

I tried out On Pinks & Needles over a few polishes and I’m excited to show off my favorites! Go check them out below!

OPI Alpine Snow + OPI On Pinks & Needles.

So, true story the first picture below is actually not matte. I went outside for pictures and it was SO HUMID that it really dulled the shine. Also, note the huge white glitter.

Then I added one coat of Wet n Wild‘s Matte Topcoat

Plantspiration happened. While I was taking picture with my cute little asparagus fern, I looked over to my lantana and I thought OH MY GOSH. YELLOW. I never, ever, would have thought to layer this over yellow. White? Black? Obviously. But not yellow – I don’t even know the last time I wore yellow polish. This is my favorite.

aaaaaand, of course, with Wet n Wild‘s Matte Top Coat:

I’ve also worn On Pinks & Needles over my go-to black: essie Licorice. Much like China Glaze Point me to the Party, it’s the perfect combination for a killer 80’s look.
