Early this year Pure Ice sent me some polishes from their (then) new New Year New Hue collection. I was surprised when the polishes arrived and there was a matte top coat included. It’s been awhile since I’ve really been into matte nails. But I wanted to try out the top coat so I’ve been rocking matte nails quite a bit recently. Surprisingly (to me) I’ve been really enjoying matte nails again. Particularly when it comes to nail art.
That being said, this is my favorite manicure I’ve done using the Pure Ice Frost Finish Matte Top Coat to date. The base color is Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Blue My Mind which has a bit of a frosty finish. I topped it with a coat of the matte top coat and the result was lovely. The looked like it was glowing.
I have to say, I’m really impressed with the Pure Ice Frost Finish Matte Top Coat. A matte top coat is something everyone needs in their collection and to be able to get a good quality one for only $1.97 is really great.
Anyhow, there’s another swatch under the jump as well as some pictures of the Frost Finish Matte Top Coat bottle so you know what you’re looking for if you’re on the hunt.
Pure Ice polishes are available exclusively at Wal-Mart, retail for $1.97 and are 3 free.
