China Glaze – Point Me To The Party

China Glaze - Point Me to the Party (Label}I have been obsessed with neon lately – water bottles, workout gear, you name it. If it comes in neon, I want it- I cannot get enough. But, if you know me at all – you know I have a really hard time with neon nails – I just… I want to like them, I just never do. I love them on other people though! I think I’ve finally found my solution: neon glitter. Maybe it’ll be my gateway drug to the world of neon nails…

I have been crushing on the China Glaze Electric Nights collection. For some reason I thought Alli had ordered a handful, but I was wrong. For that reason, I’d passed on it several times on recent trips to Ulta, but some late night nail polish shopping brought this beauty to my mailbox.

Point me to the Party is a poppin’ neon glitter explosion of fun. It was a perfect poolside mani! Multi sized hex glitter: pink, orange, green, blue, magenta… I decided I wanted to see it over black and I fell in love with the look right away. It reminds me of an 80’s black/neon splatter situation. Who can say no to that? I decided to see what it would look like matte and  – it’s even better.

The formula was pretty great – I’m kind of snobby about my glitter. I don’t feel like I should have to use a tooth pick, or dab and drag, I want a nice scattered effect from the get go and China Glaze delivers. I used two coats of Point me to the Part over Essie Licorice. For my matte look, I used the Wet n Wild Protective Base Coat / Matte Top Coat.

You can purchase the China Glaze Electric Nights Collection at Ulta for $7.50 each. I’m seriously considering picking up the Baby Beats Micro Minis, available at Ulta for $14.95.

Do you love it!? More pictures below!

I have a feeling this is going to be the summer of glitter. I’d love to know your favorite bright & neon glitters – leave me suggestions! Comments make me happy!

  1. I do love it. I agree with you neons are not so much for me, but pop this over a neutral or dark base and it works.

  2. This glitter polish captured my attention the first time I saw a press release on this collection. It is so versatile! I love well-done neons and this glitter adds such pizzazz to your mani. I’ve seen it used in many ways and loved them all, but your mani, with it over black, is fabulous!

What do you think?
