Barielle Gemstones The Daily Varnish

Barielle Gemstones

Barielle Gemstones The Daily VarnishI find doing my nails to be so therapeutic. It’s a way to get a little bit of “me time” and nothing adds a little cheer to that time like a glitter nail polish.

After I did my nails essie Private Weekend I wasn’t loving my manicure. To cure that I topped essie Private Weekend with Barielle Gemstones and y’all…my manicure turned out wonderfully!

Gemstones, from Barielle’s Spring 2015 Glitter Mania collection, has small teal glitter, medium fuchsia glitter and large silver, holographic glitter suspended in a clear base.

The formula is absolutely fantastic. I used just one coat of Gemstones over Private Weekend and the glitter went on smoothly and evenly.

I have nothing like Gemstones in my collection and I really do love it. I think it’ll look good over a variety of neutral(ish) base colors and can be used no matter the season.

You can find Gemstones on the Barielle website or you can pick up the entire Glitter Mania collection for $25.

Make sure to check out the swatches under the jump! Gemstones is so gorgeous.

Lovely! The teal glitter really shows, and I love glitter over white. Like fresh snow in the sun. Please tell me I’m not already poetic about snow; I’m a sucker for punishment.

I’ve missed a few posts and had go back to check out the plain white but I sure see what you mean. I have a plain white and a jelly white (Essie Marshmallow) that I only use for nail art (great for jelly bean manis). I’ve never met a white polish that can go it alone. But keep trying! It would be so glorious!

A white polish that can most definitely go it alone is Ciate “Angel Wings,” my favorite white. Check it out!

It’s May…as poetic as it was I really don’t want to think about snow! haha

What do you think?
