OPI – My Gecko Does Tricks

OPI - My Gecko Does TricksGood news! I’m still obsessing over my balcony garden! So much so, that I was feeling a bit sassy this morning and decided I should have an actual green thumb(nail).

My Gecko does Tricks is my fourth and final choice from OPI’s Hawaii Collection for Spring/Summer 2015 .For a collection that seemed “just okay” at first – I really have loved each polish that I’ve tried.

The OPI description is just weird: Being bright and pearly green is just one of its talents. Bright pearly green. All true, all BORING. This is a polish that deserves more (Gimme, gimme..) Radioactive Appletini  might be a better description. That sounds oddly delicious. I used three coats + one coat of Seche Vite for my swatches.

In case you missed it, check out some of our other OPI Hawaii reviews: That’s Hula-rious!, Aloha from OPI, Hello Hawaii Ya?, Go with the Lava Flow, and Do you take Lei Away?

You can purchase the OPI Hawaii polishes at Ulta for $9.50 each. Ulta is currently running a cute promo: Buy two OPI polishes, get a pair of OPI flip flops!

Time to start looking forward to the next OPI Collection! I stopped by my local Ulta today to see if they had the ColorPaints display. They did not, but they are listed on Ulta’s Website: OPI ColorPaints. I can’t decide if the ColorPaints are going to be AMAZING or just okay – but I definitely see potential and I’m anxious to try them.

    1. Mondays are ALWAYS the best day for radioactive appletinis! I’m perfecting the recipe…. I promise to share it with you before it becomes a Pinterest hit.

  2. I have this color, too! Haven’t tried it yet (surprise, surprise) but I just think it’s funny that we favor a lot of the same things. 😀

What do you think?
