deborah lippmann Desert Moon (+ a comparison to essie Power Clutch)

deborah lippmann Desert Moon The Daily VarnishThere’s  just something about gray nail polish that works no matter the season. I love that deborah lippmann included a gray polish in a summer collection.

Desert Moon is from the Summer 2015 deborah lippmann Painted Desert collection and features full coverage, neutral polishes. I’ve already reviewed Shifting Sands and Love In The Dunes from this collection and both were very impressive.

Desert Moon is a pebble gray creme. This is a very yellow gray. And the formula is fantastic. This could easily be a one coater though I did use two in my swatches.

This isn’t the best gray for my particular skintone but it is a lovely color. If you are cool toned like me Love In The Dunes will be a better fit.

I dug through my extensive collection of gray polishes and I don’t have any dupes for Desert Moon. The closest I have is essie Power Clutch that while much darker is the same in tone as Desert Moon.

Under the jump you will find swatches of Desert Moon as well as a comparison to essie Power Clutch.

The Painted Desert collection will be available at Nordstrom and Sephora in May!
