China Glaze Red-y To Rave

China Glaze Red-y To Rave The Daily VarnishThere’s bright and then there’s BRIGHT. This polish is BRIGHT!

For summer China Glaze has a brand new collection of neon polishes; Electric Nights. I absolutely love neon polishes for summer and have had some fantastic luck with neon polishes from China Glaze in the past (Too Yacht to Handle is still one of my favorite polishes!).

Red-y to Rave is a bright red orange creme. This is scorch your eyes (and freak out my camera) bright and a slightly more red version of Pixi Oh So Orange.

The formula is pretty fantastic. I used just two coats in my swatches. Of course, since this is a neon it does dry to that weird semi matte finish so a shiny top coat is required!

I really love this polish. But be warned, it will make people notice your nails! For my brother’s birthday we spent a lovely day at Lake Tillery and the first thing my brother said when I got there was “WOW your nails are bright!”.

You can find Red-y to Rave at Sally Beauty Supply or on Amazon.

Make sure to check out the swatches under the jump!

  1. Gorgeous! Yay for brights! I’m just not getting into the nudes/sands/beiges trend. After seeing nothing but shades of dull dirty greys and beiges out the window (really bad winter trying to get done here, it actually snowed again last night), I’m so ready for brightly colored anything! I’m definitely going to check these out!

    1. I actually really like mixing nudes and neons so perhaps the answer is the combine the trends.

We’ve been having such lovely weather here; sending some your way!

      1. Mixing them? I hadn’t thought of that… Do you mean accent nails? Oh you know that could also make an interesting gradient mani too. Ok my curiosity is piqued. Please consider posting a nude/neon combo? I may just reconsider nudes. 🙂

Able bodied folks in these parts have rallied to help people stranded in their homes, and individuals are caring for storm drains, since a big melt is all but inevitable. The municipal governments can only do so much and budgets are long exhausted. Besides, doing something good takes your mind of the depressingly late spring. We Maritimers are strong; we would never let the poor weather prevent us from complaining about the poor weather! 🙂
And thank you for letting me vent, btw. 🙂

        1. I did a nude and neon manicure (you can see it here) awhile ago and I absolutely loved it. A gradient would be GORGEOUS though. I might have to give that a try…

I just got back inside from covering my garden. We have a frost advisory here tonight. But I’ll take a frost advisory over what you’re dealing with! Goodness.

What do you think?
