Nail Art: Essie Some Like it Spot Spring Manicure

Essie Some Like it Spot Spring Nail ArtSpring has officially sprung. I planted my herb garden last weekend. I’ve put my boots away for the winter. And the top is basically permanently down on my Miata. The only thing left to do is to share a spring manicure!

The inspiration for this manicure came from essie. I spotted this post on Pinterest and just loved the look. (And yes…essie came up with the clever name of this manicure…a play on Some Like it Hot). But, I wanted to tweak the colors a bit to make the manicure a bit more bright.

For this manicure I used essie Blossom Dandy as a base. I let that dry completely; blocked the bottom of my nail with tape then used essie Petal Pushers to fill in the top third (ish) of the nail. I added a few polka dots on the base of the nail and viola! Done.

I really enjoyed this manicure. I like how Petal Pushers really tones down the manicure; absolutely perfect for spring.

Both polishes I used for this manicure are part of the current essie Flowerista collection which is currently in stores.

As always, there are swatches under the jump!

Looks really cute the design you came up with and it’s not difficult to make, which is always a plus, when you’re in the mood for some nail art, but kind of lazy to do one 😉 xx

That is me every time I want to do nail art. I’m like, I want to do nail art but I’m feeling SUPER lazy. haha

Easter egg-y but not too candy-ish. I like it. I wasn’t overly fond of theses polishes separately (although the petal pushers is a contender for a conservative work environment, and my collection lacks those), but they do compliment each other quite well.

Boots are not put away, but things are getting better. We’ve had few days on the above-freezing side and the snow banks have started to slump. The sun is getting warmer. We’ll get there.

With different colors this could definitely go easter egg. FAST!

It actually froze here last night (what!?). I had to cover all my plants! But otherwise I have no room to complain.

I’m thinking that on my ring fingers a little jewel would look so pretty as the center dot! Totally gonna do this!!!

What do you think?
