Essie - Picked Perfect

essie – Picked Perfect

Essie - Picked PerfectHey, hey, hey! It’s my favorite day! Every time a new polish collection comes out, Alli and I have a conversation that goes something like this:

Alli: I just ordered some polishes from the new XYZ collection…

Katie: Are there nudes? I WANT THE NUDES!

This is how it worked out for essie’s Flowerista collection for Spring 2015. Alli chose Petal Pushers, Flowerista, Blossom Dandy, and my choices were: Picked Perfect and Perennial Chic. I wore Picked Perfect (all) last week and it made me think of food: almond, cafe au lait, caramel. Maybe I was just hungry? Really though, it’s a warm nude that essie describes as an antique almond peony. Sure. Bonus points for alliteration.

Formula and application? Both fantastic. If you tend to apply thicker coats, this absolutely could be a one coat wonder. If you’re more like me, two coats will leave you smiling. The formula was excellent – no streaking, bubbling, or pooling in the cuticles. Thumbs up.

Essie polishes retail for $8.50. The Flowerista collection is currently available at Nordstrom and Ulta. Picked Perfect can also be found on Amazon. The Flowerista mini set does not include Picked Perfect but is pretty much adorable.

Yummy warm nude, like a light gingerbread. Very nice.

Gingerbread and Dulce de Leche…I’m having a hard time concentrating on the polish for some reason…it’s enough to get me to start biting my nails again.

What do you think?
