Barielle Under the Sea COVER

Barielle Under the Sea

Barielle Under the Sea COVERMy favorite Disney movie, no, just favorite movie when I was a kid was The Little Mermaid. Eric was so dreamy and the prospect and swimming all day and living under water was very appealing to me.

So, to say the least, I love the name of this polish. But I also love this polish. It’s a perfect polish to transition from cold to warm weather.

Barielle describes Under the Sea as a rich, sea scuba blue shimmer. To my eye (we’ve got to be super careful about that after the whole #TheDress thing…) this leans much more green and falls into the teal category. The shimmer is very subtle. There’s just enough to prevent Under The Sea from looking flat on the nail.

The formula is fantastic; I used just two coats in my swatches.

As I said, I really do like this polish. It’s bright enough to be spring appropriate yet dark enough to start wearing now! Heaven Sent is still my favorite from the Gentle Breeze collection but Under the Sea is a close second.

I always like to mention that Barielle is 5 free and does not test on animals. Because that is awesome.

Under the Sea can be purchased from Barielle’s wesbite. Or, you can pick up the entire Gentle Breeze collection for $25 also on Barielle’s website.

Make sure to check out the swatches under the jump!

I adore this one! I would have to get it right away, had I not just bought Habit’s Prairie, which is also a medium to dark soft teal, minus the subtle shimmer. This shade is a perfect transition shade between winter and spring.

It really is the perfect transition color. I just wish we could transition to spring faster!

Every Barielle polish I used went on perfectly and looked just beautiful, far more than would be expected from looking at the polish in the bottle, I thought. This is the “secret brand of nail beauty!” Their nail and hand/foot products are also excellent.

Barielle is kind of the best kept secret in the nail polish community. And you are right, their hand care products are spectacular.

Ya hear us, Everybody? Give this brand a shot; you’ll be very pleasantly surprised, I think.

I hear ya! It’s even rainy and (almost) cold here in Las Vegas… and this is supposed to be a desert!

What do you think?
