China Glaze Wanderlust

China Glaze Wanderlust COVERI am definitely dreaming of spring this week. Over the weekend I was strolling through Ulta attempting not to buy the entire store when I spotted the China Glaze Road Trip collection display. As I stood there in my boots and trench coat I couldn’t help but stare at the model basking in the sun. I swear I even got a bit angry at her.

Anyhow. Wanderlust caught my attention because it looked understated and soft in the bottle. I knew it had shimmer but I didn’t realize until I got it home that the shimmer gave the polish more of a pearl finish than a shimmery one.

Wanderlust is a soft pink with the slightest purple undertone and a pearl finish. This looks really soft on the nail but due to the finish it doesn’t fall flat.

The formula is absolutely fantastic. I used just two coats in my swatches.

In the bottle this looks incredibly similar to deborah lippmann Chantilly Lace. The two are very, very similar but due to the formulas Chantilly Lace looks lighter on the nail. I did a comparison swatch that is under the jump. I used 2 coats of Wanderlust and 4+ coats of Chantilly Lace.

The China Glaze Road Trip collection is currently available at Ulta. You can also find Wanderlust on Amazon.

Make sure to check out the swatches under the jump!

  1. This is just gorgeous. What an amazing colour, and who would buy the Deborah Lippmann over the China Glaze when the look is the same, and you need to less coats of polish with Wanderlust. It’s really a no brainer, I think. I’m going to keep an eye out for this one when I’m shopping. Thanks for sharing and comparing the two polishes. It just goes to prove that expensive does not always mean the best.
