Catchy, right? I had to look up Chantilly Lace. All of deborah lippmann’s polishes are named after songs and I find more often than not I don’t actually know the songs. Always learning something new!

Chantilly Lace is from the Spring 2015 Whisper collection so as expected, this polish is sheer. But, I have to say, Chantilly Lace is a lovely iridescent pink that does gives the nails a chic understated look.

This collection is supposed to add a modern twist to polishes that are classic; such as a sheer pink. The modern twist to Chantilly Lace is the subtle red shimmer that gives the polish a pearl finish.

Chantilly Lace is sheer; I used 3 coats in my swatches. However, like Misty Morning from this collection, Chantilly Lace is a jelly sandwich waiting to happen. Not even waiting to happen as I’ve already made it happen and really loved the jelly sandwich I created.

The Whisper collection will be available February 2015 at Sephora, Nordstrom and

There are, of course, swatches under the jump.

  1. Beautiful. This sheer pale pink with subtle red shimmer looks to be a dupe or near dupe for Chanel’s Frisson… love to wear that shade in the spring and summer.

  2. Actually, it’s not a dupe… I pulled my Frisson out, and although it does have reddish shimmers in it, the shimmers are mostly gold. Plus the Lippmann looks more “glowy” while the Chanel is more shimmery.

What do you think?
