China Glaze No Peeking COVER

China Glaze No Peeking!

China Glaze No Peeking COVERThis nail polish feels like coming home. Way back at the beginning of my nail polish addiction shimmery dark(ish) purples were my thing. I wore them CONSTANTLY. I lived and died by OPI Catherine the Grape.

But, new polishes came out. There were new finishes to explore. And now here we are and I realize I don’t wear polishes like this near enough anymore. So, I am quite happy I picked up No Peeking! from the China Glaze holiday 2014 Twinkle collection.

No Peeking! is a medium red based purple packed with shimmer. In the sun the red and blue shimmer really stand out. The color is lovely and a nice shade for this time of year. It’s even more fun if you top it with a little glitter.

The formula is lovely. I used just two coats in my swatches.

Holiday collections are disappearing but there may been some lingering at your local Ulta or Sally Beauty Supply. You can definitely find No Peeking! on Amazon.

Make sure to check out the swatches under the jump.

This is gorgeous on you! I have (and love) Catherine the Grape, perhaps I should also pick this one up!

Catherine the Grape just makes me happy. This is a bit of a different take on a shimmery purple. But if you like CtG you’ll love No Peeking!

i got this one in a set of 3.. bought the set just for that glittery one in the collection- i think it was ‘dancing and prancing’ and they were out of the single bottles. This polish didn’t look like anything special in the bottle, but once i put it on my nails… it was love 🙂 idk what it is about this polish i don’t even like purples! i never would have picked it out on its own, so i’m REALLY glad it came in that gift set bc it ended up being one of my fav china glaze polishes

Yeah, I was really underwhelmed with this polish in the bottle. But so gorgeous on the nail!

Wow! I don’t think I would have bought it from looking at the bottle, but it is definitely going on my wish list NOW!!!! Thanks for sharing.
