Nail Art: UGA Manicure

UGA Nail ArtI imagine this post might confuse some of you that know I am an Auburn alumni so let me explain!

The Belk Bowl is in Charlotte every year and this year Georgia played Louisville. One of my best friends went to Georgia and due to that I try, usually successfully, to put my hatred of Georgia aside. Of course when they aren’t playing Auburn…

Anyway! We went to the Belk Bowl this year and let me tell you, finding red and black in my wardrobe was not easy. Particularly considering it was a very cold night. But regardless, it’s not like I’m going to show up at an event without appropriate nails!

This was an easy manicure to create. I used OPI My Silk Tie for the silver nails and OPI 4 In The Morning for the black nails. Then I added the UGA using a super tiny dotting tool and Revlon Fire Fox. I opted for a matte finish red polish so it’d really pop against the metallic silver base.

And no worries. Even though I was at a Georgia game I represented. Because….War Eagle and stuff.

As always, there are swatches under the jump.

This is a great look – I love that you’ve let the natural finish of the polish colors come out to play!

I really like using matte and metallic polishes together. It really brings out the finishes!

What do you think?
