deborah lippmann Misty Morning

deborah lippmann Misty Morning COVERThis is a very appropriate polish as Charlotte has been experiencing what I like to call Ohio weather; gray skies all the time with occasional mist and rain.

Misty Morning is actually named after the Bob Marley song of the same name. But either way, this nail polish captures the mood of the weather and the song.

deborah lippmann describes Misty Morning as a sheer blue-grey creme. And when they say sheer they mean sheer. The formula is good but I used 4 (yes FOUR) coats in my swatches.

That being said, the purpose of the Spring 2015 Whisper Collection is for the polishes to be sheer, light colors that create a clean and understated yet modern and refined look. But that’s just not really my thing.

Now, what Misty Morning is AMAZING for is to create jelly sandwiches. I already did one that I posted over on TDV Instagram. I’m looking forward with experimenting some more with Misty Morning and different glitters!

If you love this color and want an opaque version of it check out deborah lippmann Chasing Pavements.

The Whisper collection will be available February 2015 at Sephora, Nordstrom and

There are swatches under the jump.

  1. I love it, but Chasing Pavements has been on my wish list a while now, and I don’t think I need both. CP seems like less work and in this particular shade I don’t think the sheerness factor adds anything irresistible to the look.

    1. Oh you had to go and bring up jelly sammies!? Uggh, just when I was certain that there was no real point in having such a sheer gray… I forgot about sammies.

What do you think?
