SinfulColors Twilight Twinkles COVER

SinfulColors Twilight Twinkles

SinfulColors Twilight Twinkles COVERLast weekend was SUPER busy. Friday I went to Olde Mecklenburg Brewery for some fantastic German food and a German style Christmas market then Saturday I did a brewery tour with some friends and it all ended with a holiday party on Sunday night. So I needed a festive manicure that would wear well and I would be ok looking at for 3 full days. For someone like me who doesn’t love traditional holiday colors that was a difficult feat.

I figured the easiest way to achieve this goal was going to be glitter. As I was digging through my stash SinfulColors Twlight Twinkles caught my eye. A gold glitter top coat? Perfect, festive yet not red or green!

Twilight Twinkles is a gold glitter top coat that has various shapes and different sizes of glitter all suspended in a clear base. I found dabbing this glitter onto the nail instead of a normal application technique worked the best. As long as I used the dabbing method I didn’t have any trouble getting glitter on the nail.

I topped nails inc. Kensington High Street with Twilight Twinkles and I absolutely loved the result. Kensington High Street is a deep crimson red polish that, while red, is a bit more subdued than your typical holiday red. The combination of the two polishes is lovely and very holiday appropriate.

I am just so impressed with Twilight Twinkles. It’s a versatile, high quality glitter that’ll set you back $2 (or less). Can’t beat that!

Make sure to check out the swatches under the jump.

Huh–I didn’t realize this had so many shapes in it–thanks for the swatch!

Love the shard polishes, looking forward to seeing more of them in 2015!

I was a bit on the fence about shard polishes but I really like this one. I’m looking forward to trying more!

Niiice! Love me a chunky glitter topcoat in gold or silver. For some reason I’m not big on the shard thing, though… much prefer Deb’s Boom Boom Pow. This is definitely a trendier looking option, though.

That’s why SinfulColors is so great; you can try out a trendy nail polish look but don’t have to spend a fortune on it 🙂

What do you think?
