Seche – Smitten & Live Love Polish!

seche - smittenHappy Cyber Monday! Did you survive Thanksgiving & Black Friday? I skipped the Black Friday chaos this year and opted for an early morning spin class. It was my best Black Friday yet! Don’t worry, I bought myself an adorable hoodie to get my shopping fix.

A couple of weeks ago, Live Love Polish contacted us to let us know that they now carry Seche! You all know how much I love Seche Vite – but I’ve never tried out their nail polish. LLP was kind enough to send me a bottle of Smitten + a beautiful new bottle of Seche Vite.

Seche Smitten is a classic red creme. It’s perfect for the holidays. The formula was really nice and smooth. A careful hand could get away with just one coat. That – of course – means that I used two coats before finishing it off with a coat of SV. The only thing I don’t love about this polish is the brush. I really prefer wider brushes, and this one is quite thin. It’s not that it made application difficult – it’s still easy to use. It’s just not as easy as let’s say… OPI pro-wide brush (my favorite brush). That being said, I did like like the look and would definitely try out more Seche polishes – especially if they add some unique colors and finishes.

Live Love Polish is based in New York and authorized retailer for all the brands that they carry.  I spent some time browsing their website and I was really impressed. The layout is clean and easy to navigate and the prices are fair. Free shipping within the US for orders over $20 & they ship internationally! I’m really glad I was introduced to Live Love Polish, now I have my eye on a few brands I’ve never tried before: UNT, Mint, & Fun Lacquer. Seriously, the UNT glitters look amazing.

The Seche polishes retail for $7.50 on Live Love polish, but LOTS of them are currently on sale – you can get Smitten for $5!

PSA: The LLP Black Friday Sale continues until TONIGHT at 11:59 EST. Get shopping!

More swatches below! Including some chevron & glitter fun!

PS. I had no idea that mini bottles of Seche Vite existed. I’m going to have to order one… adorable.

  1. I’ve been eyeing these for a while now (but can’t get a reasonable shipping price to EU :/). But, here’s my question: you still need (or just felt that need) a fast drying polish over one of these? I thought that was kinda the point with Seche polishes; are they not fast drying on their own?
Or is that just a habit, to follow-up any mani with a TC (I can totally relate)? 🙂

    1. Oh! You know what… it was just habit! I didn’t even think about it. I’ll try it soon sans top coat 🙂 Thanks for the comment!

I do know Live Love Polish ships internationally and it seems pretty reasonable!

What do you think?
