I get so excited about Halloween as I imagine you can tell from all the Halloween posts. Tonight I’m going to a Halloween party with the boy. I’m still deciding between a few costume options. I wish I had 3 parties to go to; then I could dress up in a different costume for each party!
While I’ve done my fair share of Halloween nail art I knew I was going to be busy this week and wouldn’t have time to do my nails. Entire the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Stickers in Skull and Crossbows.
Looking at these in the packaging they are the perfect easy Halloween manicure. They include many things I love: glitter, skulls and bows. They even reminded me a bit of my all time favorite Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Numbskull. My plan was to wear these all week. Well, that didn’t last long.
For some UNKNOWN reason these are not the normal salon effects which are made from real nail polish. These are, instead, nail stickers. Let the headaches begin.
I had a hard time getting these to lay flat. And even sealing the edges with a top coat (as recommended by Sally Hansen) did solve the constant lifting of the edges I experienced. I made it less than 24 hours with these on. Not only were they annoying they just didn’t look good. Very sad considering how much I adore the design.
These retail for $9.99 which is the same MSRP as the regular Salon Effects line. I absolutely love the Sally Hansen Salon Effects line; no one does nail polish strips better. But I’d stay away from the nail stickers.
Below the jump you will find a slew of pictures including my nails less than 24 hours into wearing these. They looked….ragged.
