NYC New York Color Rock Muse Smoky Top Coat

NYC New York Color Rock Muse Smoky Top Coat COVERBefore I start I want to say that, yes, I understand this is marketed as a top coat. But it’s such a waste to use this polish as a top coat!

The NYC Rock Muse Smoky Top Coat has been released several times in different limited edition displays. This time it was part of their Halloween collection.

Rock Muse contains both small and large silver glitter in a smoky gray jelly base. It’s essentially an updated version of Orly Goth. The jelly base gives this polish so much depth. Which is why I think it’d be a shame to use this as a top coat!

Despite being marketed as a top coat I needed just three coats to get an opaque finish. And because the base is a jelly you can see the layers of glitter. The end look is really fantastic.

There are, of course, swatches under the jump.
