Amour Whose Cider Are You On?

Amour Whose CIder Are You On COVERLast weekend was the first ever Charlotte Cider Fest. Being the cider addict that I am of course I attended. It was a great event and a fun evening. And, to top it all off, I had the perfect polish to wear.

Quite awhile ago I ordered this polish from TransDesign. It’s part of their fall 2014 collection and I bought it entirely for the name. There were no swatches that I could find and the photo on the website was less than telling. Lucky for me this nail polish turned out to be gorgeous and unique.

Whose Cider Are You On? is a brown leaning burgundy with small holographic glitter. I have never seen anything like this polish. It’s absolutely gorgeous and perfect for fall. I literally could not stop staring at my nails. Particularly in the sun!

The formula is wonderful; I used just two coats in my swatches. The only negative is this polish doesn’t dry to a smooth finish because of all the glitter. But, a thicker top coat (I used Barielle Gel Top Coat) will take care of that problem.

I am so impressed with this polish. It’s entirely unique not only in my collection but in the nail polish world (as far as my polish knowledge goes). Amour, as a brand, also impresses me a great deal. Their polishes are very reasonably priced at $2.75. And I regularly use their Sticky Base Coat.

The only negative is availability. As far as I know the brand is only available from TransDesign. But, for a polish like Whose Cider Are You On? I think it’s worth the effort.

Make sure to check out the swatches under the jump.

  1. Ooh, look at how it’s got on the label! Amour must be proprietary to TransDesign. How cool that Dave has his own polish line. I just placed an order with him, too — too late now for including any polishes but that’s where I go for my beloved Graham Hands Down Ultra Nail and Cosmetic pads, which I should probably start buying by the case…. Anyway, nice polish — good eye!
