OPI First Class Desires COVER

OPI First Class Desires

OPI First Class Desires COVERIt’s funny that 2 months ago I wouldn’t have been caught dead wearing a shimmery nail polish. Over the last month or so I’ve made a complete 180 and now I can’t get enough glitter!

For Holiday 2014 OPI teamed up with Gwen Stefani to create a 12 polish collection. For the most part I’m not particularly enthusiastic about this collection. The holidays aren’t my thing anyway and most of the polishes in the collection look like polishes we all have in our collection already. Red and green for Christmas….ground breaking! That being said, there is a 6 piece glitter top coat collection along side this one that might be interesting. But that’s for another post!

Anyway. The one polish that caught my eye; First Class Desires. It is a gorgeous deep plum jelly packed with gold and purple shimmer.  While this polish is gorgeous in any life it really comes alive in the sun.

The polish is lovely though it is a jelly. I used 3 coats in my swatches.

While I was wearing this polish I kept thinking it reminded me of something but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Finally it came to me; First Class Desires is very similar to Avon Violetta Sparkle. They aren’t dupes but if you have Violetta Sparkle in your collection already I’d pass on First Class Desires.

The Gwen Stefani OPI holiday collection should be popping up soon in stores.

Make sure to check out the swatches under the jump!

I think this is the only one of this polish collection that could interest me. The others are kinda ‘been there, done that’. The six new topcoats from the 2014 OPI Holiday collection are worth looking into though… Have you seen ‘Comet in the Sky’? Over black, it would be a galaxy mani in a bottle. i hope it’s not ‘gritty’ like some glitters.

The OPI’s are hard to find around here, and expensive online, but I may be persuaded to try Comet in the Sky. Would LOVE to see you review it… 🙂

I already picked up Come In The Sky. I’ve worn it once so a review will be in the near future 🙂
