Earlier this week I went to Rite Aid to take advantage of their 40% off NYC Cosmetics sale. I use the Smooth Skin foundation as my every day foundation and use several of their other products so I stocked up. While I was there I noticed the NYC City Samba collection display. While we’ve already reviewed most of that collection I was a bit skeptical of reviewing the last couple as I wasn’t sure the collection was still available. I’m glad to know that it is!
Amazon Green is a unique polish in my collection. It’s a mint green with an almost frosted finish. I say almost frosted because it has a bit too much shimmer for it to be considered a pearl finish but it’s not over the top frosted, either.
The formula was a bit thick but not extremely difficult to work with. I did need three coats to get an opaque color.
I do like this polish; it’s pretty and a softer way to wear mint green. But it’s certainly not my favorite from this collection though that is just personal color preference.
As I mentioned earlier, it seems this collection is still available in Rite Aid stores. If you haven’t checked it out now is the time! NYC In a New York Minute polishes retail for $1.99.
There are swatches under the jump (and links to reviews of other polishes from the City Samba collection).
