Once upon a time I was obsessed with polishes like Take the “A” Train. My obsession led to many manicures using OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous. Unfortunately, as with many love stories, I eventually got tired of Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous. The green undertones and finish began to feel dated.
Enter Take the “A” Train. My obsession has been renewed!
Take the “A” Train is a lovely polished pewter that looks like melted graphite on the nails. And, as with all polishes from the deborah lippmann New York Marquee collection, the formula is amazing. This applied easily in two coats and I encountered none of the normal issues that come with metallic finish polishes. For tips on applying these polishes check out my post on I’ll Take Manhattan.
I really like this polish. It feels like an updated version of my well loved Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous and is perfect for fall. Particularly if you want something that isn’t just your normal silver or gold metallic.
And as always, there are swatches under the jump!
