My brother introduced me to Crabtree & Evelyn back when I was in college. After I moved a Crabtree & Evelyn opened in the local mall. I was always complaining about having dry hands so for Christmas one year he gave me the Gardeners 60 Second Fix For Hands. It only took one time using it for me to become hooked. Over the years I tried the La Source Hand Recovery and Relaxing Body Lotion which I loved. Unfortunately, Crabtree & Evelyn is on the expensive side and as a college student I couldn’t justify it for long.
Between that and the fact that I don’t have a Crabtree & Evelyn store near me the brand fell off my radar. That is until I was browsing the interwebs a couple of weeks ago and ran across the promo image of Crabtree & Evelyn Black Tulip. First of all, I was shocked C&E had nail polish. Secondly Black Tulip looked gorgeous and I had to have it. I even immediately added it to my Nail Polish Wish List board on Pinterest.
I headed on over to the Crabtree & Evelyn website to find their polishes retailed for $6. Or, 3 for $12. Obviously I had to go for the 3 for $12!
Eggplant is a deep purple creme; a polish color I am continually attracted to. I have quite a few polishes in this color range so I’m not easily impressed but I must say the formula won me over. Eggplant applied beautifully in just two coats and the formula was easy to work with. Can’t ask for much more at $4 a bottle!
Now I’m really excited to try Black Tulip! I sent Blueberry to Katie so be on the look out for a review of that polish from her soon.
As always, there are swatches under the jump.
