This polish got lost in the mix for a long time. But last weekend I was looking for a polish to wear with a navy and white dress. I also wanted a polish that would work well under a glow in the dark top coat. Yes, that sounds a tiny bit odd but I went to this really awesome event at Discovery Place (a local science museum) called Science on the Rocks. Basically, you get to go to Discovery Place and act like a kid again. But this time there’s a bar.
Down To The Core-al is a super bright pink leaning coral with subtle shimmer. Because this is a neon the formula almost seems a bit chalky; particularly as it dries. A shiny top coat fixes that problem.
While I like this polish and I love coral there’s just nothing special about it. Especially when you take into account some of the awesome polishes that are in this collection. In short, I have no complaints about this polish but it doesn’t make me swoon, either.
That being said, it really did make an AWESOME base under a black light top coat (I used NYC Demon Glow). My nails were glowing like crazy!
