SinfulColors Solar Flux

SinfulColors Solar Flux coverYou know the saying “the grass is always greener”? Well, I have that problem with yellow polishes. I am fully aware the vast majority of yellow anything, not just polish, looks bad on me. Yet here I am with yet another yellow polish despite the fact that so many colors do look good on me! I can’t help it. It’s a problem.

Solar Flux is from the Summer 2014 SinfulColors Silk + Satin collection. The Silk + Satin collection features polishes with what SinfulColors calls a demi matte finish. I already tried PiPaya from this collection and was so impressed. Luckily, Solar Flux did not disappoint.

A subtle touch of yellow is not the way I would describe Solar Flux but that is the official description from SinfulColors. Solar Flux is on the paler side of yellow and it is neither bright nor bold. So perhaps, in that sense, it is subtle. That was quite the roundabout description. Anyway!

The formula is rather amazing. I used just two coats in my swatches. Two coats for a yellow is miraculous!

The Silk + Satin will be available is currently available at Rite Aid stores and will be available at Walgreens in August.

Make sure to check out the swatches under the jump. The finish is so lovely.

  1. Hahah, I know what you mean. My favorite color is yellow and I have several yellow polishes even though it is not very flattering! So far, I have stayed with the pastel versions but this polish looks really pretty. It looks good on you!

What do you think?
