Nail Art: Eiffel Tower and French Flag Bastille Day Manicure

Bastille Day Nail Art CoverMy nails have been taking a trip around the world. Within a week I’ve done posts on American flag nails, German flag nails and now French flag nails! But today is Bastille Day and in keeping with the tradition I had to do a Bastille Day manicure!

This year I did a simple manicure with French flag and Eiffel Tower accent nails.

I started off with a base of Sally Hansen Sterling Silver instead of just a basic white. It added a little flash to the mani. And really, who doesn’t like a little flash!?

On the pointer finger nail I added an Eiffel Tower with Cover Girl Black Diamond and a nail art brush. Then I used a thinner, longer nail brush to draw the blocks of color on my ring finger nail to create a French flag. As always for any French themed manicure the blue I used was L’Oreal Jet Set to Paris. The red I used was Essie Fishnet Stockings.

This was a fun manicure to do. Plus, I’m (re)reading Edward Rutherfurd Paris: The Novel and I definitely have Paris on the brain!

Happy Bastille Day everyone! And make sure to check out the swatches under the jump.

PS: If you missed my 2012 or 2013 Bastille Day manis make sure to check them out!

I like this. It’s a bit edgier than years past.
