4th of July Manicure 2014

2014 4th of July ManicureHappy 4th of July!

Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays. I love the fireworks and parades and the barbecues. Currently I am in Blowing Rock, North Carolina with my family. It’s gorgeous here and the weather is AMAZING. It has been so hot and humid in Charlotte. It’s really nice to get away.

I just want to say that I am not a fan of the term “jelly sandwich”. But I am a fan of the look of a (cringe) jelly sandwich. So…if you know a different name for this kind of manicure PLEASE let me know!

I started with 2 coats of Essie Marshmallow, followed by 2 coats of Finger Paints Red, White & Hue and topped that with one more coat of Marshmallow. I really loved the way this manicure turned out. It’s super patriotic but a bit more subtle than other patriotic manicures I’ve done.

Because this is a holiday I’m going to keep this post short and sweet. There are, of course, swatches under the jump.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

  1. Very pretty and soft. I don’t have Essie Marshmallow but it looks like one I should. Hope y’all have a safe and happy 4th!
