But hey, since I can’t have a pina colada at least I can wear this awesome nail polish with pina colada in the name, right?
For summer 2014 Barielle released a new collection that celebrates the warm sun filled days of summer. The Keys collection has 6 polishes that, according to Barielle, set the mood for paradise vacations.
Panama Pina Colada is a soft yellow creme with the tiniest touch of green. It’s not quite green enough to go into chartreuse territory but it’s definitely there.
While I adore the color of this polish it’s not the most flattering on me. It brings out the red in my skintone or, as Katie would say, it gives me lobster hands. But that’s ok! I’ll rock it anyway because I love the color. In fact, I love this polish so much I already did a little nail art with it.
The formula is fantastic. It’s easy to work with and it covered wonderfully in just two coats. Quite a feat for a yellow polish!
It’s worth noting I am trying a new top coat. If you caught my latest top coat review you knew I was going to be trying out a new one! Currently I’m testing Barielle No Chip Speed Dry top coat. This manicure is the first time I used it and so far I’m liking it (plus it’s 5 free, as are all of Barielle’s products… hooray!).
As always, there are swatches under the jump.
