Red, White and Blue Patriotic Manicure

Red, White & Blue; A Patriotic Manicure

Red, White and Blue Patriotic ManicureBetween the upcoming Fourth of July holiday and World Cup fever a patriotic manicure feels so appropriate right now. Plus, I was at Sally Beauty Supply the other day and found the most fabulous red, white and blue glitter. I just had to use it!

This manicure was very simple yet really fun. I started with alternating red, white and blue nails. I used OPI Coca-Cola Red (because really, what’s more American than Coke!?) on my pointer and pinky nails; Milani Blue Zoom on my thumb and middle finger nails and China Glaze Dandy Lyin’ Around as an accent color just on my ring finger.

FingerPaints Red, White & Hue is the polish that really makes this manicure. Red, White & Hue has large and small matte red, white and blue glitter suspended in a clear base. I concentrated the glitter at the base of my nails and let the glitter fade towards the tip. Because the glitter is matte it really pops against the red, white and blue base.

I am a big fan of Red, White & Hue. FingerPaints isn’t a brand I keep up with. While there are quite a few FingerPaints polishes that I like (such as Grape Gumball and Tiffany Imposter) this is the first that really wow’d me.

FingerPaints polishes are sold exclusively at Sally Beauty Supply. They are currently on sale for $4 a bottle though sadly Red, White & Hue doesn’t seem to be on the website and it is limited edition. So get your behinds to Sallys because this polish is AWESOME!

There are a ton of swatches under the jump.

I love it! Festive enough but also not overly complicated. Sometimes the holiday manis are a bit overboard with too much going on. I need to find that balance. Mine usually seem either too plain to be festive or too busy altogether. thanks for the inspiration!

I may do a variation of this for my 4th mani! It’s easy enough that it won’t take forever to do but looks fabulous!!

That’s what I love about this mani; super festive AND super easy! I don’t want to spend my holiday doing my nails, lol

Picked this up last week and was trying to figure out how to wear it. This is perfect. Not too complicated — I’m still trying to master dots! Plus I don’t like white on me but the one nail won’t look so bad. Thanks!

This is definitely an easy way to imitate dots. And so much easier!

I love this! I just bought Red, White & Hue today so I can do this for my 4th of July mani. Thanks for the inspiration! 🙂
