I cannot even explain to you how excited we were about the OPI/Coke Collaboration. Alli and I are Coke fanatics. She’s a purest. She drinks Coke and only Coke. So of course her must have polish from the collection was: Coca-Cola Red. Me? I couldn’t narrow it down to just one – I had to have three! I instantly fell for Coke Zero when it was released. I used to abhor the taste of Diet Coke but I eventually became a Diet Coke Junkie. I love classic Coke as well, but I can only drink one every so often. Diet Coke on the other hand I could take intravenously. But wait… I haven’t mentioned Vanilla Coke. Well, I’ll be honest, Vanilla Coke was never really my thing but I had to order it for one reason…. my Nana.
You see, I absolutely love my Nana she’s 87 and a true Southern lady if there ever was one. She’s a firm believer that your nails should be an extension of your hands. You may remember that her quest for the perfect nude polish two years ago. I tried so many neutrals: OPI Barefoot in Barcelona, OPI Tickle My France-y, Cult Nails Cruisin’ Nude to name a few. The winner? Sally Hansen Smooth & Perfect in Dune. Turns out she was looking for more of an off-white than a nude. I know she has to be horrified with my nails sometimes – but she humors me and usually asks what polish I’m wearing. She’s just awesome like that. My point here, of course, is that I know she’d approve of OPI’s You’re So Vain-illa.
Now… onto You’re so Vain-illa! I really like this polish! I’ve been all over the nail polish map lately -but I’ve steered clear of the more neutral shades, so it’s a nice palette cleanser. The color is a perfect match for the Vanilla Coke logo. It is a lovely creme. I used two coats for a gorgeous finish. I love white polish in the summer and I think this is a great alternative.
