deborah lippmann Break 4 Love

deborah lippmann Break 4 Love coverSpring! The weather has been so lovely here in Charlotte this week that I can’t help myself but get into spring polish colors.

Break 4 Love is deborah lippmann’s latest celeb collaboration. This polish is the brain child of well known fashion and art photographer Inez Van Lamsweerde. She wanted to create a polish that the women of the Mad Men era would wear on a holiday to Palm Springs. With that premise in mind, I think Inez and Deborah hit it out of the park!

deborah lippmann describes Break 4 Love as a bubblegum techno babe hue (Break 4 Love is, after all, a techno song). Break 4 Love isn’t a true bubblegum pink; it’s a bit more subtle and has the slightest orange undertone. For reference, Break 4 Love is supposed to be a cross between Daytripper and PYT.

The formula is perfection. I used just 2 coats in my swatches.

This is a classic polish that looks super chic. I even wore Break 4 Love to the symphony (and then promptly went to Krispy Kreme but lets ignore that…). That being said, this isn’t the most unique polish ever but worth the investment if you are looking for a color like Break 4 Love with a great formula.

deborah lippmann polishes are available at Sephora and Break 4 Love is available on Amazon.

Make sure to check out the swatches under the jump!

Oh my! I wasn’t impressed with the look in the bottle but it just comes to life on your nails! So pretty! I’ve been getting into pinks lately, I overdid it with the green polishes last year. Love it!

I wasn’t all that impressed with this polish in the bottle either but it really is lovely on!

I really love this on you – and it’s even a pink! Is the world ending?

It’s coral. Don’t get too excited!

What do you think?
