L’Oreal Wild and Free

L'Oreal Wild and Free CoverI’m kind of a purple nail polish hoarder. Rarely do I see a purple polish that I don’t want. It’s irrational but it’s better than other addictions, right?

That was all an excuse for the fact that one day I was browsing drugstore.com and noticed Wild and Free had been added to the offerings from L’Oreal. I, of course, HAD to have it. But I really love this polish so it’s totally ok!

Wild and Free is an electric purple that literally glows on the nail. The finish walks the line of being frosty but never crosses into that territory.

The formula is lovely though I did need three coats to get an even, opaque finish.

While I do love this polish I have a couple polishes in my collection that are very similar to Wild and Free . Both Pixi Amazing Amethyst and SinfulColors Let’s Talk are perfectly good substitutes.

Like I said, I picked up Wild and Free from drugstore.com but this should be an easy polish to find in drugstores.

Make sure to check out the swatches under the jump. Wild and Free looks amazing in the sun!

  1. Very beautiful, I like the “almost-but-not-quite frost” finish.
I have about the same shade in creme – I really should wear it more often.

  2. Happily I have the Sinful Colors Let’s Talk. I love purple too and even though I have a whole shelf full, there is always room for one more beauty.

  3. Your pictures are also reminiscent of Wet n Wild’s Buffy The Violet Slayer.

I won’t say I’ve never seen a purple nail polish I didn’t like, but I’d be hard pressed to remember when I did :). It’s a great color and I’m going to keep an eye out for it!

  4. L’Oreal puts out some very pretty colors… this one is gorgeous, it’s coming up almost indigo on my monitor.
