OPI I São Paulo Over There

OPI I São Paulo Over There coverI just have to say….I love the name of this polish. The play on words is amazing and that is the main reason I ended up with this polish. So when I start complaining about the color I do realize it’s entirely my fault!

Anyway. As the name would suggest, I São Paulo Over There is from OPI’s Spring 2014 Brazil collection. I wasn’t overly enthusiastic about this particular OPI collection but I was pleasantly surprised by Live.Love.Carnaval and Next Stop…The Bikini Zone. Unfortunately, I São Paulo Over There didn’t impress me.

I São Paulo Over There is just as OPI describes it; a mocha-toned creme. To this polish’s credit, São Paulo is a lovely neutral polish that would look great on most skintones. Plus, the formula is wonderful. I used just two coats in my swatches.

Personally, I find this polish dreadfully boring. If I’m going for a brown toned neutral I like to go darker like L’Oreal Liya’s Nude. But I will admit this made a lovely base for a fun glitter manicure!

Of course, this is all just personal preference! If you’re in the market for a polish in this color range I would recommend I São Paulo Over There.

The OPI Brazil collection is currently available in stores and online at Ulta.com.

There are swatches under the jump!

  1. This is one if those odd shades that I can’t decide whether I find pretty or fugly. Will definitely be passing this one up. I don’t own a shade like this, but cool milky brown I’m pretty sure I can live without.
