Revlon Parfumerie Lavender Soap

Revlon Parfumerie Lavender Soap coverI cannot believe this is the first polish from Revlon’s Parfumerie line I have tried!

Revlon released their Pafumerie line the end of 2013. Katie tried Wintermint and adored it so I’ve had my eye on the line ever since. But for one reason or another I kept passing the Parfumerie polishes. The only explanation I have is Revlon released scented polishes way back in 2010 and I kind of felt like the scented polish trend was done. I don’t know.

Anyway, fast forward to the beginning of Febuary. I was browsing (I have an addiction to that website….it’s serious) and was looking at the Revlon Perfumerie line. I was really drawn to some of the colors they offered. I ordered Lavender Soap along with Wild Violets.

Lavender Soap is a very pale lavender with a pearl finish. The finish of this polish reminds me of a sea shell. It’s pretty but feels a bit dated and safe for my taste.

The formula is thin and can be streaky. I used 3, carefully applied coats in my swatches. If you look closely there are definitely still some bald spots and streaks.

There is one thing I really loved about this polish; the scent! It smells like you just washed your hands all the time. And I loved it! The scent is quite strong right after application though fades to almost non existent in 24 hours. (Side note: using a top coat over these polishes will not affect the scent!)

Overall I’m definitely a bit disappointed in this polish though I’m looking forward to trying Wild Violets.

There are a tone of swatches under the jump. Including a couple photos in the sun 🙂

  1. I agree with you – without the pearl finish it would have been a winner. I love this shade, but it’s so much more beautiful as a creme.

What do you think?
