Yesterday was absolutely beautiful! I couldn’t ask for a more perfect March day: sunny with highs in the 70’s! I decided to embrace the (sadly) brief warm up with the bright pink deliciousness that is Prestige Wonder Gloss Romance.
I was really excited that Alli sent me this polish because Prestige is a new-to-me brand! Romance applied really nicely. I used three coats to get an nice even look. Romance dried to a beautiful shiny finish. I did add a coat of Seche Vite to speed up drying time. You know me… I will say, the only complaint I have is that the the wand/brush is a bit short – and it made application just a little awkward. It wasn’t bad, it wouldn’t keep me from buying another Wonder Gloss polish, but it was just… a little awkward.
A bit of background: The Prestige Wonder Gloss line is fairly new, released in 2013. The website says the following of the WG polishes:
- Super Glossy with Multi Vitamins
- Maximum Coverage and Durability
- Resistant to Shock
- Strengthens Nails
Please tell me I’m not the only one that is hung up on the “Shock Resistant” descriptor? While I have absolutely no idea what that means, I can say it did dry “super glossy.” I was impressed. I asked my nails if they felt stronger, but they didn’t have much to say…
I did a quick ingredients quick and the Prestige Wonder Gloss polishes are 4-free. They do contain camphor, which is absent in 5-free polishes. If you’re interested in learning a bit more, I found a great article on nail polish toxins here.
