Prestige Wonder Gloss Nail Lacquer Frost

Prestige Wonder Gloss Nail Lacquer Frost CoverI’ll admit it. When I think of Prestige Cosmetics I do not think of nail polish. I’ve used several products from Prestige over the years, including their eyeshadows and I adore their My Blackest Lashes mascara. So I was quite interested when I found out they are now making nail polish.

Frost is a very me color. It’s a super metallic chrome. This is very similar to OPI Push & Shove and Essie No Place Like Chrome but doesn’t have quite the same finish. The finish on Frost doesn’t have a mirror finish but more of a traditional metallic finish. This makes it more forgiving (and less of a pain in the rear) than the silver polishes with a mirror like finish.

The formula was good. I used just 2 coats in my swatches.

Overall, I was impressed with this polish. I’d highly recommend this polish if you’re looking for a more user friendly metallic silver polish or just one at a lower price point (Prestige polishes retail for $3.95).

Prestige Cosmetics are sold at Ulta though I’m not sure if the nail polishes are available in stores yet. You can find the polishes on the Prestige Cosmetics website (they have free shipping on orders over $25!).

Below the jump are swatches of Frost.

I did do a little snow day manicure with this polish. You can check out a preview of that manicure here.

  1. Have you tried Orly Shine? I find it just *perfect*.

  2. I normally don’t care for chromes, but can’t resist a chic silver chrome for a summer night out! This one looks a little streaky up close, I guess because of the frost factor. Prettiest silver chrome I’ve tried (with by the far the best formula) is Butter London’s Diamond Geezer.
