I’m not super excited about this collection but there were a few polishes I knew I had to get my hands on. One of those was Next Stop…The Bikini Zone. I was curious how it would compare to other green and purple duochromes including OPI Peace & Love & OPI from their Fall 2013 collection.
OPI describes Next Stop…The Bikini Zone as an amethyst toned pewter. I would describe it as a sheer, pale purple packed with a tone of shimmer. On the nail I see very little, if any, of the green/pewter duochrome that is apparent in the bottle.
The formula is quite thin. I used 3 coats in my swatches and still had a visible nail line.
Next Stop…The Bikini Zone is a pretty polish. And the shimmer is absolutely gorgeous in the sun. But it didn’t exactly wow me. At first I thought that might be because I’ve seen this polish a hundred times. But as it turns out, I don’t have any dupes for this polish in my collection.
To appease my curiosity I did do a comparison between Next Stop…The Bikini Zone and OPI Peace & Love & OPI (or Essie For The Twill of It), NARS Disco Inferno and OPI Not Like the Movies. None are dupes. Peace & Love & OPI isn’t even close. But none the less, there is a comparison swatch under the jump.
Under the jump you will find the comparison swatch along with a ton of swatches of Next Stop…The Bikini Zone (including quite a few in the sun!).
Can’t wait to try some of the other polishes I have from this collection!
