Perfect Pair deborah lippmann She Bop and deborah lippmann 99 Luftballons coverThe weather in Charlotte can’t make up its mind! One day it’s spring, the next it’s winter. We were having a beautiful spring day earlier this week and it put me in the mood for a spring manicure.

At first I just put on deborah lippmann She Bop and I was going to leave it at that. She Bop is an incredibly pale pink creme (a hard thing for me to come across). But I should have guessed that would be too boring for me!

I’d topped She Bop with 99 Luftballons before and remembered really liking the combination. So I added one coat of 99 Luftballons and really loved the result.

99 Luftballons is a much better glitter topper than it is a glitter polish to wear on its own. Or at least, that’s my opinion!

Anyway, these 2 polishes together are perfect. Both She Bop and 99 Luftballons are both Sephora exclusive polishes and, as far as I know, are permanent.

There are swatches under the jump!

Thanks, Alli! I received 99 Luftballons for the holidays and I agree it is better as a topper, but because of the base color, is tricky to pair. This is a good match, and I am looking for more ideas. Valesha at Peachy Polish topped ChG Red-y and Willing- I never would have thought of that but it worked well. Please, if you discover other good pairings, let us know! I have had good luck with it on top of I Know What Boys Like and Sally Hansen Beautiful Berry, but I need more ideas. I think a cool, blue based undie is perfect with this. She Bop is so girly and pretty on its own, too!

It is a kind of tricky polish to pair with a base color. I do want to experiment with 99 Luftballons. I’ll definitely be posting my adventures! It’s such a pretty polish 🙂

This is really sweet! A happy, candy-ish look.
Also, it seems someone at DL has gotten into into eighties music! 🙂
Maybe Purple Rain,Raspberry Beret or Computer Blue for polish names? (Yes I was into Prince at the time!) Cheers!
