Perfect Pair: Essie Lots of Lux & OPI Push and Shove

Perfect Pair Essie Lots of Lux and OPI Push and Shove bottlesAlong time ago I did a manicure where I mixed a textured polish (JulieG Blueberry Fizz) and a metallic polish (Essie No Place Like Chrome). I loved the end result. There’s something about mixing the two extreme ends of nail polish textures spectrum (I just totally made that a thing) I think not only looks interesting but is really unexpected.

The other night I was running late (shocker!) and we all know I won’t leave the house without my nails done, I went for a quick yet still eye catching combination. Essie Lots of Lux is my favorite recently released textured polish and it dries super fast. I used OPI Push and Shove as for an accent nail. While Push and Shove takes somewhat careful application, just using it on 2 nails didn’t take much time. Plus, it also dries extremely fast.

The finished manicure was amazing, if I may say so myself. It even looked great the next day. The sun took it to an entirely different level.

Honestly, if you need a quick manicure mixing textured and metallic polishes is a great way to go!

There are, of course, swatches under the jump.
