Auburn Manicure War EagleI’m trying my best to stay calm right now. I really am. BUT OMG IT’S GAMEDAY!! AUBURN PLAYS FOR THE NATIONAL TITLE TONIGHT!!!!

If you are even a casual reader of this blog then you probably already know that like most of my family, my college degree is from Auburn. We are HUGE Auburn football fans (I even went to the Iron Bowl this year). So tonight is a pretty big deal around here.

While I’m not in Pasadena to watch the game in person I will be going to the Charlotte Auburn Club watch party. If you’re not in the stadium there’s not better place to watch than with a bunch of other crazy, Auburn alums.

This manicure is an updated version of my 2011 BCS National Championship Game manicure. I figure, it worked last time, might as well do it again! Instead of doing a half moon manicure (which I feel is a bit dated at this point) I did a Chanel inspired manicure with the same polishes (NYC Times Square Tangerine and Orly Star of Bombay). I added a little glitter with deborah lippmann Va Va Voom which has brought good luck all year!

For an accent nail I used China Glaze Dandy Lyin’ Around and added an Auburn temporary tattoo (for info on how to use temporary tattoos in nail art check out this post) and a little bit of glitter just at the base of the nail with Essie Peak of Chic.

I really love the way this manicure turned out. Hopefully I will be able to think of it fondly when Auburn wins tonight!

There are tons of swatches under the jump plus an additional Auburn manicure I did for some pregame activities.
