Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Twinkle Toes-ty

Sally Hansen – Twinkle Toes-ty

SH - Twinkle Toes-ty MainPress Sample.

It’s almost New Year’s Eve! That can only mean one thing in nail polish land: glitter and lots of it!

Twinkle Toes-ty is from Sally Hansen’s Bling in the New Year collection – such a cute name. It’s a beautiful topper: it has both large hex and small gold holographic glitter set in a clear base. The holographic glitter picks up so many different colors depending on the light that it actually looks like multicolor glitter at times. Can you think of a more perfect Katie polish? No? Moi non plus. This is absolutely perfect for glamming up your nails for New Years Eve or a fun night out!

Depending on how you want to apply it, you can get some very different looks. I found that if I applied it like a regular polish, I got more of a faded look with more glitter towards the base of my nails and very little near the tips. To spread it out more evenly, I dabbed it around to place the glitter where I wanted. If you want to go super flashy – add an extra coat (or three!).

Alli has already reviewed two polishes from this collection: Midnight Glitz and Fa La La lavender. Lots of pretty pictures below!

Happy (almost) New Years! What will you have on your nails tomorrow night?

Very pretty Katie!! I like this one. My NYE manicure will be OPI’s Kiss Me At Midnight. I was almost thinking Alcatraz Rocks! (All time favorite this year). But decided on a lighter look. Hope you have a wonderful celebration. And of course a great 2014!

Alcatraz Rocks would be an awesome NYE polish – but I think Kiss Me At Midnight is perfect! I was just looking at some swatches of it – may have to pick it up for myself 🙂 I don’t have any blue textured polishes…

      Have an awesome NYE!

I’ve just bought Sally Hansen Open Mica Night at Sephora. They didn’t have any Twinkle Toes-ty… 🙁

Very pretty! How do you like it? I don’t know that I have any polishes with square glitter. Hmm….

I couldn’t resist – it’s so different. I like sparse glitter, and this one applies perfectly for my tastes. Highly recommended!
