It’s so rare that I use white nail polish, so I’ve never had the urge to find a perfect-for-me white. However, as I struggled to re-create the Blackfish Movie Poster last weekend, I realized it was time to start the search.
In the past I’ve tried Alli’s Favorite: Ulta Snow White and Sinful Colors Snow Me White (a favorite of The Little Canvas) but neither of them made me swoon. I can’t tell you how many times over the past few years I’ve picked up and put back OPI’s Alpine Snow. I figured it was time to take the plunge. So I grabbed my keys and headed to Ulta (on Christmas Eve no less!)
A white crème is a white crème, so it all comes down to application and formula. I could not be happier with Alpine Snow. It’s not too thick or to thin. It’s not streaky or clumpy or runny – it’s perfect. I used two coats over my base coat du jour and topped it off with one coat of Essie Good to Go.
