OPI – Alpine Snow

OPI - Alpine Snow Bottle (Title)It’s so rare that I use white nail polish, so I’ve never had the urge to find a perfect-for-me white. However, as I struggled to re-create the Blackfish Movie Poster last weekend, I realized it was time to start the search.

In the past I’ve tried Alli’s Favorite: Ulta Snow White and Sinful Colors Snow Me White (a favorite of The Little Canvas) but neither of them made me swoon. I can’t tell you how many times over the past few years I’ve picked up and put back OPI’s Alpine Snow. I figured it was time to take the plunge. So I grabbed my keys and headed to Ulta (on Christmas Eve no less!)

A white crème is a white crème, so it all comes down to application and formula. I could not be happier with Alpine Snow. It’s not too thick or to thin. It’s not streaky or clumpy or runny – it’s perfect. I used two coats over my base coat du jour and topped it off with one coat of Essie Good to Go.

You can purchase Alpine Snow for $9 at your local beauty retailer or online from Ulta, Walgreens, or Drugstore.com.

Happy Polishing!

  2. Looks gorgeous on uou

  3. now I see where all the traffic from The Daily Varnish is coming to my blog from! lol. I’ve hesitated buying this white as welll. I LOOOOVE OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, so I would assume that I would love this one just the same. I probably should check it out one of these days, you know after my 3 bottles of Sinful are gone 😛

  4. I’ve been debating about this one for a while. What software or app do you use to put the writing on your pictures? It’s a nice touch xx

  5. When I was a teen white “tippex” was never far away from my nails – nowadays I never let it touch them, it’s only to make frankens. The “whitest” polish I have is Don’t Touch My Tutu!

  6. This has been my favorite white for about 6 months. My bottle is 1/2 gone and I also have Ulta Snow White and the Sinful Colors white that you mentioned. I highly recommend OPI Alpine Snow.

  7. […] cremes, white is white – so it all comes down to formula and application. My heart belongs to Alpine Snow by OPI. Alli’s favorite is Ulta’s Snow […]

  8. […] But here’s the thing… as much as I’m drawn to milky glitters, I can’t stand polishes that even border on being sheer. I don’t know why, but it’s just not me. SO, after looking at some other swatches of Starburst I decided to layer it over my favorite white: OPI Alpine Snow. […]

  9. […] SO picky about white polish – to the point where I’ve given all of mine away except for OPI’s Alpine Snow. I’m excited to say that Tag, Ur It! is a keeper. It’s a bit thicker than I typically […]
